Welcome to the many moods of Cassidy and Cassidy's page! Cassidy is so photogenic and takes some pretty darn good pictures!
Cassidy Johnson
This is my first born daughter, Cassidy Johnson. She's 21 years old in this picture. I believe we are at KFC here. It's 100 degrees outside and we are having family time.
Twenty one years old might not be a big deal for everyone but it was certainly a big deal for Cassidy Johnson. Heck, reaching one years old was a big deal for her.
Since the day Cassidy was born she has faced many life threatening challenges. She has what is called Velo Cardio Facial Syndrome. It's like one step away from Down Syndrome. Some of the symptoms of this syndrome are hearing and speech difficulties and delays, learning delays, epilepsy and a many other major set backs that she's had to overcome.
By the time she had reached the age of 16 years old Cassidy was very depressed. She had decided that solving her problem with her disability was not ever to come out of her room again. Needless to say, I wasn't going to allow this one. At this time we were very fortunate to meet some wonderful people from Integrated Services Network (ISN) and got Cassidy a worker. Since then, Cassidy has achieved many accomplishments. She has spoke in front of Congress about the budget cuts, she has also completed one year of Life Skills and graduated. She also goes to camp every summer with other challenged children. She now has a nurse who takes her out to do things at least three to four times a month and she is in the process of going to Chemeketa to complete and acquire her GED. I am very proud of Cassidy and all of her accomplishments!

Cassidy, although you've had many down falls in your life you are a winner. You have never been a victim and you've always come out on top! Your cheerfullness, and always seeing the bright side of things have help me through so many rough times. Keep your smile and your cheerful disposition.
That and your strength will see you through everything! :) I love you so much!
