Angie Blake
Hi everyone! Welcome to my about me page. I am a happily married mother with three children and two grandchildren. I was born in Pocatello, Idaho on July 3, 1963. I was born to a full blooded Italian father and a German, French, English, and Native American mother. Our last name was Rossi. (You can learn more about my family research on my family research page.)
In 1965 my parents decided to bring the family to Oregon. We lived in the same house in Independence, Oregon for as long as I can remember. I graduated from Central High School in Independence in 1981. (Go Panthers!)
Shortly after that I married Keith Morgan who passed away in less than a year of our marriage. Although, it wasn't a great marriage and we didn't live happily ever after I did learn a lot from it and I wouldn't be the person I am today if I hadn't experienced it.
In 1988 I got married again and was divorced six years later.
I didn't try marriage again until the year 2000. This time the marriage lasted for less than a year and I threw him out of my house. I was never getting married again and that's when I started dating Dean. I already knew Dean when I worked at the bar we got to be friends and then, in the year 2007 is when we got together. We didn't get married until the year 2009. It is 2013 and I have never been happier! Sure we both have our faults, more me than him, but it is a give and take marriage and I think I can safely say that we're in it for the long haul.
I did get three wonderful children out of the marriages and I love them dearly. Two girls and one boy. Cassidy Johnson, Miranda Rossi-Irwin and David Morgan. I love them all dearly. They also have their own pages on the site where you can read about them as well.
I've been writing seriously since I was about 12 years old. I first started with short stories and then some poems. Now, 38 years later, I have three horror books and two children's books. I am very proud of my writing and love to display it in as many places as possible. I design my own covers and illustrate the children's books, as well. I don't draw but Bookemon provides almost everything I need for my books so I don't have to worry about it.
Besides writing one of my favorite things is going camping. I love to camp, hike, fish and take pictures. I do some of my best writing up at Fisherman's Bend here in Oregon. It's only a 20 minute drive but it seems like it's out in the middle of nowhere. We go every year on my birthdays. I've taken some pictures. In ,no way are they even a little professional but I like to do it.
This is my loving husband Dean. We've been together for six years and been married since 2009. We bought a huge tent to go camping in and this is Dean sweeping it out after we finally got it all set up. I love the peace and quiet up there. We went on the 4th of July weekend (for our Honeymoon) and believe it or not we hardly saw ten people there. It was so beautiful.
The chipmunks love me up there. Every year I make Peanut Butter Balls for my family and I. Every year I 'forget' to put them away. Every year there is one stuffed full chipmunk in the morning laying across the table next to the peanut butter balls. Next year I'm getting pictures of it! :)

We are three very happy campers here. The first, is, of course, me. Then there's Cassidy and Miranda.
Then the not-so-happy-camper our cat George. At home he is the 'Great Orange Hunter'. Out in the big bad world he is scared to death and pissed off. The first picture he told us how he hated gravel and his leash. The second picture he told us he wanted to hunt squirrels. The third picture 'I am safe right next to Mommy's feet and I am not moving. I don't care what you say Daddy! I am not going for a walk!'
Every year we take pictures of the girls sitting on this stump. This year someone else wanted to get in on the action!
I am sure you can see why Fisherman's Bend is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world. The picture with the bench is my favorite spots. I like to take a tablet and sit there and write. Or take my camera and take pictures. Or sometimes I take my husband and we just sit there and cuddle and forget about the rest of the world. I LOVE IT!
